About this atlas

In the work of Hutchinson et al. (2017), four ferret brain templates were built – in-vivo MRI and DTI and ex-vivo MRI and DTI – using brain images across many ferrets. Region of interest masks corresponding to established ferret neuroanatomy were generated by semi-automatic and manual segmentation.
On display here is the ex-vivo DTI template and a selection of imaging modalities. We have set the (previously undefined) origin of the template to voxel (76,107,33) which represents the intersection of the Anterior Commisure with the mid-saggital plane.
The complete set of templates and imaging modalities are available from the authors of the defining citation (the website mentioned therein has not materialized).
